Abstract

The burning event of Bou Azizi with the end of 2010 is not considered only the first spark for the Tunisian popular uprising but a spark for the rest of the uprisings that have occurred in the Arabian region. What makes the Tunisian uprising differs from other uprisings is its peaceful nature and the 1Tlack of casualties 1Tin comparison with Yemen, Egypt, Libya and Syria. The phase of transition that Tunisia has passed through towards democracy, witnessed many conflicts between the competitive parties. Among those parties two trends have appeared; The first is the Islamic movement led by Al-nahda Party, and the second is the liberal trend, which includes the nationalist, the socialist, and the communist parties. This competition has led to the formation and dissolution of a number of governments during the period from the beginning of 2011 to the beginning of 2014.
